$50 to Jesus & Where to find Cocky Vegetables

I have explained that we have a DVD player in our van and Mush Head, Emersyn watches movies pretty much all the time in the car now. Bad mom Award.

We were driving to the store so Cody could become Jesus Christ and the kids were all watching Veggie Tales, (a Christian cartoon, no there is not a theme here, intentionally..)

Skylar:   "Jonah changes colors three times in this video...it bugs me."

Cody:     "Have you ever heard of the SHADE....daaaaa!"

Skylar:   "Don't you think Jonah looks cocky in this video?"

Cody:    "Skylar, he is a vegetable, how could he possibly look cocky?"

Skylar:   "I don't know, but his camel looks cocky to."

Cody:    "It is a cartoon camel....how can a camel and a vegetable look cocky....geez Skylar!"

At least they are watching a DVD about Christian values while they have this Jonah-changing-colors-cocky-vegetable-camel discussion.
Halloween 2007

As for costumes; I am going as a nun, Jim as a priest, Cody as Jesus, Skylar will be a Mad Hatter and Emersyn will be a dragon. Mission accomplished and we weren't even ON our way to a Halloween party when buying the costumes.

We did, however, lose Emersyn at the costume store....we found her by the candy.  Leash needed! We just put her in the large part of the cart, cage-like.  Everyone looked at us like we were the worst parents ever for not having her in the proper part of the cart with a seatbelt on.  Judge on, oh parents-of-the-costume-store...but be careful because my son will be Jesus in just a few days.... and has a $50.00 costume to prove it.

Thanks for reading. Make sure and check out other great stories in the Archives!
